The Smashing Pumpkins on Kimmel

Remember when the Smashing Pumpkins did “Zero” on Saturday Night Live? Remember how great that was? People should put the Smashing Pumpkins on TV more often. Even if sometimes they do stuff like this. Further evidence: Billy Corgan and his current backing band were on Jimmy Kimmel Live, playing the outdoor festival stage and doing a pretty great take on “Being Beige,” the really-pretty-good single from their really-pretty-good new album Monuments To An Elegy. Kimmel’s people haven’t posted the performance to YouTube yet for some reason, and there are presumably more songs that’ll be online soon, since the band played a handful of tracks when they taped the episode. But right now, you can watch the “Being Beige” performance below, at least if you’re in the U.S.

UPDATE: And here’s “One And All.”

Monuments To An Elegy is out now on Martha’s Music.
