For a fashion show by the clothing label Hood By Air, the New-York-via-Venezuela producer (and Kanye West/Björk collaborator) Arca recently put together a short mix of entirely new tracks. The mix, entitled Sheep, is 11 tracks and 17 minutes long, which ultimately isn’t that much shorter than &&&&&, the 2013 mixtape that helped build Arca’s name, or Xen, the debut album he released last year. Sheep is full of Arca’s signature form of queasy, mutated rap beats, and it’s got samples of Lana Del Rey, Robert Wyatt, and Björk. Listen to it below.
Xen is out now on Mute.
