A lot has changed for Sturgill Simpson since the last time he was on Letterman in July. His new album Metamodern Sounds In Country Music was a hit, he was nominated (and lost out on) a Grammy, and, most recently, he made the jump from the world of self-releases to the major label life on Atlantic. He also appeared on Conan, Fallon, and Seth Meyers in the interlude, so he’s getting pretty good at this late-night performance thing. Last night, the Kentucky singer-songwriter did “Long White Line” on Letterman, and it was pretty great. You can watch it below.
