Wait, Why Isn’t Stevie Nicks Writing Music For Game Of Thrones Then?

“Just like the red-winged dragon / Seems to be friends with that lady! / Ooh Game of / Thrones / Game of Thrones!” (I still haven’t really seen much of Game of Thrones.) In an interview with Herald Scotland, Stevie Nicks spoke about how watching Game of Thrones recently helped her get through some rough times, and about how she’d like to write music for the show. Wait, what? Hello? WELL THEN WHY ISN’T SHE? Via Vulture:

The author is my age and it blows my mind that he’s able to create this vast, interlinked world. As a songwriter I write little movies. But I can’t imagine sitting down and writing even one small book. But then probably somebody like him couldn’t imagine writing “Edge Of Seventeen” or “Rhiannon” — couldn’t write a whole little life in two verses and a chorus. And of course I would love to write some music for Game Of Thrones. I’ve written a bunch of poetry about it — one for each of the characters. On Jon Snow…On Arya…On Cersei and Jaime.

(#humblebrag.) It kind of seems like this is an open and shut case? Where you open the case, see that Stevie Nicks wants to write songs for Game of Thrones, and then close the case because yes, she should be doing that, why are we even looking at this dumb case anymore when we should be getting Stevie Nicks on the phone? HELLO @GEORGERRMARTIN. (I assume that George R. R. Martin has his hands in every aspect of the television show, and, as music supervisor, he should be contacted directly about this, via Twitter.) @George, are you there? “Talk to Me,” because “I Can’t Wait”! “Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You,” George? Uhh, “Edge of Seventeen”!
