MOST IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS: ENTOURAGE: THE MOVIE GETS THE GREEN LIGHT! (OH YE-AH!)

STOP THE PRESSES VICKI VALE, WE HAVE SOME VERY IMPORTANT SOME MIGHT EVEN SAY THE MOST IMPORTANT NEWS COMING TO YOU FROM HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA. DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING AND HAVE A CLEAN PAIR OF PANTS READY TO REPLACE THE PAIR OF PANTS YOU HAVE ON NOW, BEFORE YOU HAVE HEARD THE NEWS. From Deadline:

Warner Bros has tonight given the green light on a movie version of Entourage, the HBO series that ran from 2004-2011.

The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who wrote the screenplay and who exec produced the series with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. Deals are starting to be made with Adrian Grenier, who played Chase, Kevin Connolly, who played his manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon, who played the actor’s brother Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara, who played their entrepreneurial driver Turtle, and Jeremy Piven, who played the show’s iconic type A talent agent Ari Gold. I’m sure Drama’s agent Lloyd (Rex Lee), E’s girl Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), his management partner Scott (Scott Caan), and their quirky director collaborator Billy Walsh (Rhys Coiro) and Ari’s agency partner Barbara Miller (Beverly D’Angelo) will all be in the mix, along with a swarm of real Hollywood talent, playing themselves.

“For me, I can only think of one word to describe this development. Victory!!!!” (Actual quote from Nikki Finke. COULD NOT AGREE MORE. THAT IS THE ONLY WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS!!!) Obviously, this is great. Vinnie and the gang! All of our old friends! David Spade! Mark Cuban! It’s hard to believe it’s only been two years since Ari Gold spewed vitriolic homophobia in Lloyd’s face while Turtle and Drama came up with a hair-brained scheme to bang two former porn stars now entering their mid-60s. ENTOURAGE! WE’RE BACK BABY BRO!

Oh YE-AH! I heard that even though the Entourage movie hasn’t even gone into production, they’ve already yanked Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters from theaters to make room for Entourage: The Movie. WE NEED THOSE SCREENS, ARI! You can already follow the official EntourageMovie account on Twitter and you should, it’s perfect:

Speaking of Tweets, it would be impossible for me as a legitimate journalist (loljkjkjklololol) to write a blog post about Entourage: The Movie without the full-disclosure that I am working hard to get me and my friends cameos in this movie. I tried and failed last night to get #GoofTroupe4EntourageMovie trending worldwide. I’m obviously not going to tell Doug Ellin, who was the basis for Philip Seymour Hoffman’s character in The Master, how to do his job, but I’m thinking maybe there is a movie within the movie and me and the rest of the Goof Troupe (Max Silvestri, Gabe Liedman, Jenny Slate, Joe Mande, Jon Daly) play the cast of the fake Entourage? That would work, although of course the twist would be this is an Entourage made up entirely of Turtles. If me and the rest of the Goof Troupe could get cameo roles or even MAJOR ROLES in Entourage: The Movie, I would only be able to describe that with one word: VICTORY!!!

Please help us to get #GoofTroupe4EntourageMovie trending worldwide. Or don’t. We’re all adults here, we do what we want. BUT GUYS, I NEED THIS. (cc @TaylorSwift13 @DietCoke)
