What Does The New Mad Men Poster Mean?!

The new season of Mad Men premieres on March 25th with a two-hour basically-a-movie episode, and today there is a new Mad Men poster to promote it, and ARE YOU SO EXCITED? “Any little bit helps” – You, in the subject line of the mass email you send to your friends about the new Mad Men poster because of how much you all can’t wait for Mad Men to come back on TV. “OMGGGG” – Your friend who didn’t hit reply all and now he or she ruined the whole thread. But wait! What’s the deal with this poster, anyway? Matthew Weiner commented on what the deal was with this poster to the New York Times:

“This is a dreamlike image,” Mr. Weiner said, likening it to work of the Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico, who specialized in surreal, mannequin-like figures. The image is “a nonverbal representation of where my head is at and where the show will be,” Mr. Weiner said. “By the end of the season,” he said, “I guarantee you’ll know what it is about.”

Uggghh, by the end of the season? I wanna know NOOOOWWWWWWWWW. Did Don Draper run out of women and now he has to cheat on his wife with mannequins? Did Don Draper have to get a mannequin to play the role of Dick Whitman in some sort of comical scheme? Do mannequins start giving Don Draper ad ideas because of how much they KNOW? Has Don Draper just been talking to mannequins this whole time because he’s actually in an insane asylum? Does Don Draper start smuggling drugs in mannequins because his Ad Men salary isn’t cutting it anymore? Click through for the full-size image and full-size guessing!
