That’s Your Pen: The Sylvester Stallone “Chaos” Pen

It’s funny that your pen was designed by The Expendables actor Sylvester Stallone, because in your life it represents just the opposite. Your day-to-day used to be filled with expendable items. Reading glasses, sunglasses, chapstick, socks, pens — things that seemed to leave your life just as soon as they entered it. That is, until one day when you decided that enough was enough. You’re an adult now. It’s time to pay for and take care of an adult pen. A stunning writing utensil with skulls and dragons on it, you hoped, that would cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $4,000 and $5,000. You knew your sights were set high, and made sure not to get your hopes up there with it. But then you found it: Sylvester Stallone’s “Chaos” pen. From the press release, via FilmDrunk:

Drawing inspiration for the theme and design of his signature pen from his wildly-successful film, The Expendables, Mr. Stallone turned to classical art and worked with Montegrappa’s artisans to create the “Chaos” pen. The pen design was cultivated by the works of 16th century artists including Battista Franco, Albrecht Durer, Hans Sebald Beham and Antonio Pollaiolo to create Mr. Stallone’s idea of Chaos; a sense of the Renaissance, when things were more simplified and perhaps more noble, placed against our current technological society.

MY GOODNESS! The pen spoke to you in a way you didn’t believe a pen ever could! Finally a pen to combine your love of 16th century artists and our current technological society, just as your favorite movie The Expendables combines 20th century action stars and current film equipment. You swore you’d never write with another pen, unless maybe Sylvester Stallone released an updated version of the “Chaos” pen at some point in the future, in which case you’d certainly make the upgrade. This was your pen for life. This was you.
