The Fifth Mel Gibson Tape

As you can see, instead of another photo of Mel Gibson, whose stupid dumb face we have seen far too much of this week, I have embedded a photo of Senator Christopher J. Dodd and Representative Barney Frank. This is the photo on the front page of the New York Times right now for an article about the finance overhaul bill, which just cleared some kind of hurdle in the senate (what do I look like, Governor of Knowing How Stuff Works?) and is very close to finally passing. Dodd and Frank are, of course (OF COURSE!) the primary authors of the bill, which would provide a sweeping overhaul of the country’s financial regulatory system (I basically copied and pasted that sentence from the photo caption because I have no idea what half those words mean). The point is that there are other things going on in the world. Important things! Things that will effect the future of our country, and stuff.

But also there is a fifth Mel Gibson tape after the jump. And SURPRISE, it’s awful:

As you heard, Oksana Grigorieva hangs up at the end of this one, and one might hope and assume that this will be the end, although according to this interview from THIS morning, Radar still has, like, 20 minutes of tape left, and claims “you haven’t heard anything yet.” Oh brother. (Via Dlisted.)
