Can you believe that we are only one week into 2010? That is bonkers! It feels like it’s been 2010 FOREVER. That’s not even remotely true. But I do think that if you compare this first week of the year to first weeks of years previous, you will find that we are on pace to blow the roof off of this year. We’ve already got a catchphrase for goodness sake. And a controversy! The launch of an exciting new column! YA BURNT, 2009! And now, of course, it is time for the first Monsters’ Ball of the year! Meaningful! Important!
After the jump, the five Highest Rated comments, as voted on by you, the lowest Rated comment, the winner of this week’s Caption Contest, and the Editor’s Choice.

[Ed. note: Guys, listen, Double Dog is gone. Forever. And we are all just going to need to be big boys and grown up little ladies and accept that fact. But hopefully you have noticed and enjoyed our new feature, Taking One for the Team, which bears a not insignificant resemblance to Double Dog.]
I wish you could offer us the most popular, most stylish and avant-garde shoes, handbags,Tshirts, jacket,Tracksuit w ect…Nike shox(R4,NZ,OZ,TL1,TL2,TL3) $35Handbags. That would just be a dream. How come no one has thought of this?

I always feel blasphemous for not caring to know what’s up with Topher Grace at all. He is boring to me, with or without shoes!

[Ed. note: this week’s Caption Contest winner was actually the Highest Rated Comment of the week was well. Double congratulations are in order. I have to admit that I did not actually get this reference at first. I get it now, and it’s great, but it was weird to momentarily feel the way you guys must feel reading this obtuse and mostly unreadable blog!]
This Week’s Editor’s Choice
[Ed. note: I recognize that I’m not following the traditional format of the Editor’s Choice in this week’s Monsters’ Ball, but sometimes it’s nice to shake things up, and it’s important to remind you guys every once in awhile WHO IS IN CHARGE. Also, this thread just made me laugh, and I think it is a good representation of how you guys are BRINGING IT. 2010 does not stand a chance!]
