One Thing Leads To Another

Look, things happen. I understand that. Of course I understand that. You get caught up in the moment, and you temporarily lose perspective, and when it returns to you, you’re just as baffled as everyone else as to how you got there. “Wha happened?” indeed. So, it’s not like I don’t get it. I do get it. Kind of. Runaway train, never coming back. Wrong way on a one way track. But someone might still need to explain to me how we got from this completely reasonable, technically impressive, and contextually appropriate encore after the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 State of Mexico National Symphony, in March 2009:
