There’s definitely something morbid about using CGI to exploit the deceased in marketing campaigns. It’s exploitative and crass. I don’t stand too much on principle when it comes to honoring the dead since I don’t actually believe that the dead care, but in this one instance something just feels off. The idea that someone could lead a meaningful and full life and create art that touches millions of people only to be used as a cheap gimmick in an ad about sneakers or whatever is depressing enough to almost make you want to give up. Then again, BRUCE LEE PLAYING PING PONG WITH NUNCHUCKS! Siiiiick.
