Nick Catchdubs – “Full House” (Feat. Troy Ave & Heems)

New Jersey’s Nick Catchdubs might’ve started out as a DJ, but he’s also a music-blog OG, and game recognize game. Back in the early ’00s, Catchdubs’ eponymous website had a lot to do with indie dorks figuring out how great rap and dance music could be. Since then, it’s been fun to watch Catchdubs’ rise, becoming a FADER staffer who wrote a ton of cover stories, helping Wale put together his breakout mixtapes, and then co-founding Fools’ Gold Records with A-Trak. Catchdubs has been remixing and producing for a long time, and he’s just now announcing his debut album Smoke Machine. The album will feature collaborations with people like Iamsu!, Jay Ant, and B.I.C. First single “Full House” is a big, galumphing dance-rap jam that features verses from the 50 Cent-esque Brooklyn goon Troy Ave and from former Das Racist Heems, who, it should be noted, casually snatches the track away from Troy.
