Celestial Shore – “Now I Know” Video (Stereogum Premiere)

In the fall of 2014, Celestial Shore released Enter Ghost, 12 lush and mellow songs that easily soundtracked the city’s descent into winter. Today, the Brooklyn-based band has shared a video for the mildly morose, but totally catchy “Now I Know.” Celestial Shore has a pretty good track record for releasing engaging, artfully thought-out videos, their most recent being the Stanley Kubrick-inspired epic designed for the song “Weekenders.” The Philip Steiger-directed video for “Now I Know” features vocalist and bassist Greg Albert sliding across the floor, wide-eyed — he ends up at a party, in a child’s playroom, on the linoleum floor of a waiting room, and in a green grassy field. Albert’s journey is segmented by footage of a very lonely (very cute) ghost wandering through an urban landscape. Watch below.
