The Grateful Dead’s three-night run of “farewell” shows in Chicago has been plagued by misfortune so far, at least for your average Deadhead. Tickets went extremely fast, and were then turned around to be scalped for inordinate prices. And then, fans were denied the right to camp out overnight as is the custom. But there’s hope! An anonymous source tells Billboard that the band is considering setting up a few additional dates. Apparently, the band is looking into setting up a performance in Santa Clara, CA the weekend before their official sendoff in Chicago. There’s no confirmation that the band is coming back to the Bay Area just yet, but it definitely seems like it could be a possibility.
