Baauer – “Promises” (Feat. Fetty Wap & Dubbel Dutch)

Baauer has a strong record of working with rap upstarts. “One Touch,” the Rae Sremmurd/AlunaGeorge collaboration he released last year, was better than anyone could’ve reasonably expected. And now he’s teamed up with Fetty Wap, the New Jersey newcomer whose “Trap Queen” has been maybe this year’s biggest, most inescapable bubbled-up-from-underground rap hit. Their new collaboration “Promises,” which also features the Austin producer Dubbel Dutch, makes heavy use of Fetty’s half-melodic holler, and they put it together for Yours Truly’s Songs From Scratch series. Listen to it below.

No word on a Baauer album arriving anytime soon, but, I mean, do you really need a Baauer album? Does he strike you as an albums artist?
