Marilyn Manson’s tour in support of The Pale Emperor hit Lethbridge, Alberta on Saturday, and it sounds like Lethbridge, Alberta hit back. According to TMZ, in the hours after the performance at ENMAX Centre Manson dined at a local Denny’s, where around 2:30AM he got into an argument with a group at another table and called one woman a bitch. The woman’s boyfriend was understandably displeased and allegedly punched Manson in the face. Lethbridge police confirmed that a disturbance had taken place at Denny’s, but no one was identified and no charges were filed. We also cannot confirm whether Manson was on the third day of a seven day binge. If this really happened, there must be something about the Rocky Mountains that sends musicians off the rails; remember when Jeremih was suspected of trashing a Fuddrucker’s in Montana?
UPDATE: Manson’s manager confirmed to TMZ that he was punched but denied that Manson instigated the fight. Manson claims he never called anyone a bitch and was sucker-punched:
Manson’s manager tells TMZ the rocker was enjoying his late night meal when two girls approached him and asked for a photo. Manson says he obliged and never called either woman a “bitch” … as witnesses have claimed.
Marilyn says the guy came out of nowhere and hit him in the face. Manson says his security grabbed the guy, who then began screaming about blowing up Manson’s next concert.
Manson also claims the attacker elbowed his makeup artist in her face. He says they’re both going back to cops in Alberta to press charges.
