Dum Dum Girls leader Dee Dee always likes to keep a few side projects going whenever her main band isn’t active, and she’s just started another one. Dee Dee is now releasing solo music under the name HUNI, and the project’s first single is “Is There Any Other One?,” a slow and regal piece of gasping, twinkling synthpop with a few R&B undertones. It’s a very of-the-moment sound, and while it might not come as naturally to her as Dum Dum Girls’ pristine garage-pop does, it still sounds good coming from her. Check the track out below.
