We named Shura an Artist To Watch back in November, and since then we’ve witnessed her (them? It’s confusing) evolve into one of the most talked-about independent pop acts of this year. There are still a lot of people who have no clue who “Shura” is, but they will soon. Mumford & Sons covered the British pop outfit’s latest single, “2Shy” the other day at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and now the song’s received a remix treatment from L.A.’s Warpaint. Shura told Life Of Best Fit why she’s stoked on the dance remix of her muted pop song:
Warpaint have been and continue to be one of my favourite bands. Everything they do sounds amazing. I loved the remix they did for Daughter and I kind of just asked them and kept my fingers crossed, not really ever thinking it would happen. So it’s literally a dream come true that they wanted to do it. I’m stoked we’re pressing them to vinyl for these shows, as it’s my favourite way to listen to music.
