If you aren’t listening to Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham’s Turned Out A Punk podcast, you totally should be. Once a week, Abraham brings talks to some musical luminary about growing up within punk rock and how it’s affected their lives, and Abraham gets deep and nerdy about specific bands and records. The conversations with Cold World’s Nick Woj and Nothing’s Domenic Palermo are especially great. And this week, Abraham’s guest is Metz bassist Chris Slorach, a guy with deep roots in the same Toronto punk scene that produced Abraham. Given that Metz just made one of the year’s most awesomely hard albums, it’s a conversation worth hearing. Check it out below.
Metz’s II is out now on Sub Pop.
