The London-based singer-songwriter Nao released her February 15 EP back in May, and for someone who didn’t have a huge online footprint up until that point, she’s certifiably well on her way to stardom now, her latest step toward fame being a piano session for BBC Radio 1. Nao covered Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange standout “Thinkin Bout You” accompanied by producer Mura Masa on piano. Ocean’s vocal performance is bulletproof, which makes this is a particularly audacious song to cover, but Nao imbues it with her own brand of hybridized soul; watch below.
