Seven Davis Jr. manages to split the difference between the joy and pain of the dance floor on his debut album Universes. This is typified on the first two songs he shared from the project: the itchy futuristic glee of “Sunday Morning” and the pleading gospel rework “Fighters.” Today he’s given us another bright track that completely embodies its name, “Good Vibes.” It features British producer Julio Bashmore, unfolding in a whirl of technicolor percussion and ribbons of funk.
