“Deadwater,” the silky smooth lead single from Wet’s upcoming debut full-length Don’t You, has just gotten the remix treatment from UK producer Jam City. He deconstructs the song and the builds it back up using the fractured parts, lessening the impact of Kelly Zutrau’s effervescent vocals for the most part and relying on some deep house echoes to carry the song along. But when he does let Zutrau’s voice come through, it’s diva-sounding magical. It’s a great song no matter what form it comes in, and Jam City manages to give it a little extra punch. Listen below.
