The last we heard from volatile rap legend DMX, real name Earl Simmons, he was being accused of robbing someone at gunpoint at a gas station in Newark. Nothing ever came of that, but now he’s just been sentenced to six months in Buffalo, NY’s Erie County Holding Center, for unrelated reasons. According to Buffalo’s WIVB News 4, Family Court Judge Deanne Trippi handed the sentence down for failure to comply with an unknown previous court order, probably related to child support. As Billboard reports, the 44-year-old rapper was arrested last month in New York City just before a performance at Radio City Music Hall, and a spokesman for the New York City Sheriff’s Department told WPIX-TV at the time that DMX had $400,000 worth of unpaid child support and a warrant issued by the city of White Plains for bail jumping.
