All the songs we’ve heard from UK trio Grubs so far — “Windwaker,” “Dec 15th,” and “Gym Shame” — have had the same type of even keel that’s just so enjoyable to kick back and relax to. “Nuffin” continues that trend — the way their their voices melt together, how all the notes kind of stumble into the next. What they do is simple but effective, and there’s not much to say beyond that they’re so satisfyingly pleasant. “And I want nuffin to do with anyone other than you” could just as easily be said about the band rather than a good friend or a loved one. Their upcoming debut, It Must Be Grubs, is shaping up to be a great album to escape in as it starts to get colder. Listen below.
