Yung are a Danish post-punk quartet fronted by Mikkel Holm who make surging, gleeful guitar music about being young, feeling a million things at once, and wanting to get it all out. They’ve been expertly churning out songs and EPs since the beginning of this year with their Alter EP and a few other 7″ releases. Their next EP, These Thoughts Are Like Mandatory Chores, is out in a few weeks, and in advance of that they’ve shared new track “God,” a clash of guitar hooks hung around Holm’s energetic repetition of the line “in my mind” on the chorus. I guess the mind is as good a place as any to relegate a discussion about a higher power. Listen.
