Empress Of has been pretty quiet in the run-up to the release of her debut album. Me comes out next week, though, and the promotional push has officially kicked into high gear. After radio silence since the release of “Kitty Kat” back in July that accompanied the official album announcement, this week we’ve seen the release of a video for new track “How Do You Do It,” a Katy Perry cover, and, now, another new track. This one’s called “Standard,” and it’s in the same vein as the other tracks she’s put out so far — perfectly serviceable, pillowy electro-pop with a bit of a sinisterly personal edge. Listen below.
