Taylor Swift is a huge Law & Order: SVU fan. She named her cat after Mariska Hargitay’s character Olivia Benson, she recruited the actress for her star-studded “Bad Blood” video, and she also please welcomed Hargitay to the stage in Philadelphia a few months ago. Now, it seems her fandom might be extending into an actual appearance on the show. “We just talked about it,” as Hargitay told Entertainment Tonight. “We’re going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it’s in the air.” While that gets worked out, the show’s executive producer Warren Leight offered another potential way to incorporate the pop star into the series: “We’re thinking of naming a squad room cat Taylor,” he says. “The squad room needs to get a cat or I need to get a cat and name it Taylor,” Hargitay added. “Either one.” If Taylor does show up, hopefully her performance will be a little, um, livelier than Questlove’s. After all, she’s no stranger to crime shows — Swift previously appeared on an episode of CSI way back in 2009.
