Primitive Parts are a London trio whose ranks include two of the three members of Male Bonding. Last year, Primitive Parts dropped a couple of great 7″ singles, showing a style that had the hooks and the buzzing aggression of the late-’70s moment when there wasn’t any substantive difference between punk rock and power pop. And now they’re going to spread that feeling out over a whole album. The band spent three days recording debut LP Parts Primitive to quarter-inch tape, and the new song “Troubles” is a blast of slipshod fun. Listen to it below.
Parts Primitive is out 9/18 on Trouble In Mind.
