Alex Bleeker And The Freaks – “Sealong Hair” Video

Anyone familiar with Alex Bleeker And The Freaks’ sound knows they lean heavily into honeyed Grateful Dead reverb and jam band tendencies, but they’ve stated a few things even more clearly on their new album Country Agenda. True to its name, it’s the most country thing they’ve ever done, without losing any of their early-’70s innocence. “Sealong Hair” follows up their initial single “The Rest” and is accordingly gentle and pastoral, chugging along on a rhythm akin to a samba. Watch the nostalgia-tinged video, which was directed by Laura-Lynn Petrick, below.
