Time Crisis, Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig’s Beats 1 Radio show, is usually not the place to go if you’re looking for some kind of big scoop. Usually, Koenig and his famous-musician guests just bullshit amiably about whatever’s on their mind. And that was the case for most of the most recent episode, which featured Dirty Projectors bandleader Dave Longstreth, along with Koenig’s sister Emma and Longstreth’s brother Jake. As Pitchfork reports, the conversation revolved around things like Thin Lizzy and Justin Bieber. But Longstreth did drop a quick reference to a “top secret” project that he’s working on. Unfounded speculation here: Longstreth could be talking about working on Kanye West’s elusive and mysterious new album Swish. He did, after all, have a writing credit on the Kanye/Rihanna/Paul McCartney collaboration “FourFiveSeconds.” Listen to the episode below.
Or maybe Longstreth is working on the Rihanna album. Who knows? We don’t know shit about shit, really.
