Total Abuse are a face-ripping, noise-damaged hardcore band from Austin, and their new song “Scabs” is the first thing we’ve heard from their forthcoming album Excluded. It’s a slow, heavy, drawn-out squall about hating yourself and ripping your own flesh. Singer Rusty Kelly tells Decibel, “‘Scabs’ is a song I wrote about internal guilt and a physical skin condition I suffer from. It is one of the heaviest tracks on the LP.” The song is just an all-consumingly aggressive piece of work, and you can hear it below.
Excluded is coming sometime soon from Deranged Records.
