Elvis Costello’s memoir, Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink, is due out on October 13th, and last month he announced that the book would be accompanied by an album of the same name. The record will include some of Costello’s hits, as well as rare recordings that have never been heard previously. One of those is “April 5th,” which features contributing vocals and instrumentation from Rosanne Cash and Kris Kristofferson. The song was written by Cash’s husband, John Leventhal, and originally premiered when they performed the song together on Costello’s Spectacle series. The official recording is debuting now over at Rolling Stone. Listen to it below.
