When we posted the Jessie Ware cover of “A Dream Is A Wish” from Cinderella off the Disney covers album We Love Disney, I was really looking forward to hearing the Kacey Musgraves contribution. She’s taken on “A Spoonful Of Sugar” from Mary Poppins, and man, if it isn’t even more disappointing to me than Pageant Material was. It is totally over-the-top and cheesy when I was imagining a sort of stripped back, silvery, and understated version. Maybe I’ve just outgrown the idea of Disney songs by popular artists being appealing? Odds are some of you will still like it though, so in case of that here it is via Spin.
