Earlier this year, Questlove and Charli XCX recorded a cover of Deee-lite’s ’90s classic “Groove Is In The Heart” for a Target commercial. As Spin points out, Questo also teamed up with Swedish duo Icona Pop to take on another absolute jam, Nu Shooz’ 1986 single “I Can’t Wait,” for Target’s fall fashion line ad campaign. They play it pretty straight, but Icona Pop add some of their trademark exuberance, and the song is as funky as ever. Listen below, and check out the commercial and the original while you’re at it.
