Holdly is just a taste of the wonders that are sure to come on Florist’s debut full-length, The Birds Outside Sang, due out on Double Double Whammy next year, but it’s enough to satisfy. The NY-based Band To Watch (and best new band) is fronted by Emily Sprague, who brings her dewy-eyed realism to some of the warmest and most enveloping folk-rock songs to come out this year. (Save for maybe her fellow cohorts in The Epoch.) We’ve already spotlighted “Vacation” and “Cool And Refreshing,” and now you can listen to the whole 5-song EP via The Fader below.
Holdly is out 10/30 via Double Double Whammy.
