Producer, DJ and WhoMadeWho drummer Tomas Barfod’s has shown to be an expert synth-smith with a lot of stunning work to his name. His last full-length, Love Me, brought together moody electronics and a range of vocal collabs to create a listen that befits solitary midnight drives as much as an after-hours club.
Barfod has often worked with Swedish pop singer Nina K, including several tracks on Love Me, and they’ve proven to be a powerful creative duo. Their latest collaboration “Used To Be” is a splice from his forthcoming EP, Glory, and it resonates with mystery and a subtle charm. Nina K’s wordless vocals gradually build in strength and overlap each other like a braid. Listen below, and read our interview with Barfod from last year.
Glory is out 11/13 on Friends Of Friends.
