The Virginia sing-rapper D.R.A.M. seems destined to be best-known as the guy that Drake sort-of maybe ripped off when he made “Hotline Bling.” But whether or not that’s true, it’s not really fair to D.R.A.M., who has a whole lot to give beyond “Cha Cha.” Case in point: “For The Love Of,” a new track he made with fellow Virginia rapper DP. DP has some of that old Clipse-style coldly clinical drug-rap style, and it meshes nicely with D.R.A.M.’s unhinged howl. The song is shorter than it probably should be, but it goes. Billboard premiered it earlier today, and you can hear it below.
DP’s Designer Casket mixtape will be out 11/11.
