Watch Joss Stone Temple Pilots Bring “Interstate Love Song” To Jimmy Kimmel’s Mashup Monday

The geniuses at Jimmy Kimmel Live may never run out of pun-based combinations for their Mash-Up Mondays musical-guest series. Last week, the show brought back Mash-Up Mondays by getting Brad Paisley and Color Me Badd to join forces as Color Me Bradd. And last night, they installed British retro-soul wailer Joss Stone as the new singer for grunge fixtures Stone Temple Pilots, naturally calling the combination Joss Stone Temple Pilots. The resulting performance really wasn’t a mash-up. It was just Stone singing STP’s Crow-soundtrack banger “Interstate Love Song” and throwing some vocal runs into it. There was also a horn section, for some reason. And it sounded pretty good! Or, anyway, it sounded a whole fuck of a lot better than Color Me Bradd. Watch the performance below.

Right now, STP are in the market for a new singer. It seems to me that they could do a lot worse.
