This morning, Bruce Springsteen called into SiriusXM’s E Street Radio to discuss the new The Ties That Bind: The River Collection box set and his upcoming River tour, on which he will perform the 1980 double album in its entirety every night. During the conversation, he revealed that he’s been working on some new solo material: “The project I’ve been working on was more of a solo project. So it wasn’t a project I was gonna probably take the band out on,” he said. “So I said, ‘Well gee, that’s gonna push the band playing again a ways into the future. It’ll be nice to get some playing in so you don’t end up being two or three years in between E Street tours.’ This is gonna give us a chance to get out there and stretch our legs and muscles a little bit.” Listen below.
