Kanye West would make a pretty terrifying Goodwill employee. And maybe that’s what Goodwill’s charitable-organization headquarters types thought when they included the man’s face in their training materials. TMZ reports that Goodwill’s newsletter was trying to be “relatable” when it included West’s face in an article about how supervisors should react to different workplace situations. But they’ve since apologized and pulled the newsletters from stores and donation centers. Here’s the apology:
We’d like to apologize to Kanye West, his fans and the community for the use of his image to illustrate an internal training message. It was unacceptable and Goodwill takes full responsibility for this action and meant no disrespect to Kanye.
Let’s all spend the rest of the afternoon imagining Goodwill Supervisor Kanye West.
