Last week we heard “Ines De Castro,” the lead single from Merchandise guitarist David Vassalotti’s new solo album Broken Rope. Here’s another great track from the project called “Lady Day Redux.” It’s a rolling guitar-bass groove that mines classic rock sounds in a manner similar to Pavement’s Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain — that is, irreverently, as if through fog. Listen to this fine record below.
Broken Rope is out 2/12 on Wharf Cat. Pre-order it here.
