Nevermen – “Hate On”
Nevermen is the ambitious all-star trio of Faith No More frontman Mike Patton, TV On The Radio leader Tunde Adebimpe, and skittery rapper Doseone. (Each one of these guys has a ton of different projects; I’m only naming the most obvious ones.) Together, they’ve made a new self-titled album, and it’s coming next week; we’ve posted the tracks “Tough Towns” and “Mr. Mistake.” They’ve now shared a third song, “Hate On.” It’s a wispy number that starts out as ghostly doo-wop and then gently rolls into something that sounds like Tuvan throat-singing, except with jittery beatboxing. So: Prog, basically! Check it out below.
