It seems Blur and Gorillaz leader Damon Albarn has become pretty cozy with Icelandic duo Fufanu’s music after they supported both him and Blur on a couple of spot dates. Albarn has remixed Fufanu’s latest offering “Ballerina In The Rain,” injecting the original Nick Zinner-produced track with some bounce. The remix adds some playful percussion, high-pitched bells, and airy sweeps to counterbalance the original’s deep bass, picking up the pace. The synths are also brightened a bit, contributing to the remix’s overall shimmery feel and elevating the catchy final phrase of the hook “I want to be the star in your ballet now.” Check it out below.
