We spotlighted LA songwriter Nico Yaryan last year with “Just Tell Me” and “Old Gloria,” two tracks that will appear on his debut for Partisan. Yaryan’s new demo “Driftin” isn’t included on the upcoming record, but it slots in nicely with what we’ve heard from the artist so far. Plaintive guitars give way to a surprisingly punchy riff, as Yaryan worries about where the world is headed in his scratchy timbre. Listen below.
