Moderat is the cerebral-dance-music superfriends team-up of Modeselektor and Apparat, and they’ve got an album called III coming out this spring. Before the LP, they released an EP built around their track “Reminder,” and now they have a video for the track. It’s an animated CGI black-and-white affair about shadowy figures skittering across a dangerous alien landscape, and it’s got a video-game-logic plot about masks that grant their wearers great power. Mate Steinforth directs, and the whole thing might be some kind of extended metaphor about drone warfare in the Middle East. Check it out below.
