Watch David Byrne Perform With Arcade Fire At Kanpe Kanaval
Régine Chassagne, Win Butler, and Richard Reed Parry of Arcade Fire served as the backing band for David Byrne at last night’s annual Kanpe Kanaval benefit in Montreal, which raises money for Chassagne’s KANPE charity for Haiti. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, who recently supported Arcade Fire on their second line for David Bowie, also played with the group, performing a few Talking Heads songs and one track off of Byrne’s soundtrack for The Knee Plays. Saul Williams, The Office’s Rainn Wilson, Gardy Fury, Vox Sambou, and Fwonte were also on the bill. Watch some fan-shot footage from the event below.
