Odd Nosdam – “Sisters” (Boards Of Canada Remix)

Boards Of Canada, the legendary Scottish cerebral-electronic travelers, can go through long periods of inactivity, so it’s great to see them putting out new music, in whatever form. Not long ago, the duo remixed “Mr. Mistake,” a song from the Mike Patton/Tunde Adebimpe/Doseone supergroup Nevermen. Now, as Pitchfork points out, they’ve also reworked “Sisters,” a track from the producer and occasional rapper Odd Nosdam, who (like Doseone) was an early-’00s underground-rap fixture and a member of the Anticon crew. “Sisters” is the title track from Odd Nosdam’s new instrumental album. And in BOC’s hands, it’s a smeary and evocative burble. Check it out below.

Sisters is out 2/26 on Leaving.
