A$AP Rocky was attacked in the elevator of his New Zealand hotel early this morning, TMZ reports. The rapper is staying at the Pullman Hotel before his concert in Auckland tomorrow, and he was getting into the elevator with some girls around 3:00 AM when three men also tried to enter. Rocky told them there was no room left, and that’s when they jumped him, punching him in the head and face while yelling “fuck A$AP!” Hotel security came and broke things up, and the cops arrived later and arrested one suspect for assault and resisting arrest. It’s not clear if Rocky sustained any injuries from the altercation, but he’s still scheduled to perform tomorrow, so he can’t have been hurt too badly.
UPDATE: Rocky is ok! The rapper came away from the “fist exchange” completely unhurt, as he told the AP today. “The girls were fine. They were OK. No scratches on the ladies. Everybody is fine,” he continued. “We didn’t press no charges on nobody. They didn’t press any charges on us. Everybody good. I don’t understand why people are making a big deal out of it.”
