Next month, Holly Miranda will release Party Trick, a covers EP that sees the singer-songwriter taking on tracks by the likes of Sparklehorse, Alphaville, Morphine, and more. The two most notable covers are ones of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home, which we heard a few weeks back, and a rendition of Bon Iver’s “Blood Bank” off the 2009 EP of the same name. Miranda’s version of it is pretty minimal, but compared to the starkness of the original, it practically sparkles with life. Listen below.
