The cult-beloved Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz has recently survived a six-year incarceration and a battle with cancer, and he seems determined to make as much music as possible right now. In the first three months of 2016, Boosie released three full-length albums: In My Feelings (Goin’ Through It), Out My Feelings (In My Past), and Thug Talk. Boosie somehow managed to make it through April without releasing an album, but that’s over. Today, as Miss Info points out, Boosie came out with the new LP Bleek Mode. It’s a dedication to Boosie’s fallen friend Lil Bleek, and it combines somber reflections with Boosie’s trademark hardhead defiance. Amazingly, all four of the albums Boosie has released this year are entirely listenable, even if none of them has been his best work. Listen to Bleek Mode below, via Spotify.
The self-released Bleek Mode is out now.
